What happens when you get bored while staying in a city destroyed by bombs? French sound recordist Pierre Gauthier simply recorded the call to prayer of a local muezzin, while he was staying in Nablus. Somehow this recording made its way to Coco Zoabi, Editor of Coco’s OCD and Luke Carrell, who is the editor of International Tapes, who in turn gave it to several artists to be used as a sample. The outcome is this outlandish compilation of hazy electronics, which can be bought on bandcamp. All proceeds from the compilation go to charity by the way.

Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, Weekend Wolves (which is actually just one guy) present their new video. Again (like all his/their other vids) this one is composed of public domain footage. Unlike many of their/his contenders, Weekend Wolves’ videos actually have a slight narrative component to their/his clips instead of just putting obscure bits and pieces together. See the vid for his/their new Track “NY” below. For more visit their Youtube-Channel or their Soundcloud.

Daniel Martin-McCormick is one of those characters that pop up almost everywhere within a certain scene, doing this and that and being in that band and another one and so on. Now Martin-McCormick is about to release his first full-length as Ital. The record is called Hive Mind and will be out March 6 via Planet Mu and features a bunch of synth heavy lo-fi hipster house tracks. The Track below is called “The Crying Game” and won’t be on that record, but it’s not like it isn’t worth listening to.
